Eugene Michel Marie de Marillac St Julien

Born in Ceres but parents lost farm due to great depression and Standard Bank not assisting them. (Before land banks where formed). They moved to Benoni and both parents died there. Orphaned at age 11

Electrical Engineer (Heavy current). Obtained degree at University of Durban Natal. Apprenticed as a millwright with Iscor and to pay for his degree, and studied nights. Managed the Newcastle ISCOR stores from 1970 to 1978. Retired early to Durban where he lectured at the Durban Technical college for a few more years before completely retiring.

Died in Montagu Western Cape . 7 Long Street.

His disposition was quiet with a quirky/dry sense of humour and a nervous stutter at times.
