Mr. Parks died Thursday night at St. Francis Hospital in Monroe after a lengthy illness.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Molly Parks of Winnsboro; four sons, James Vernon Parks, E. H. Parks Jr., both of Winnsboro, Jessie Parks of Elgin, Ill., and Tommy Parks of South Carolina; three daughters, Mrs. Attamae Dallas of Winnsboro, Mrs. Betty Phillips of Alexandria, and Mrs. Maxine Berry of Winnsboro; four brothers, Vernon Parks of Athens, Tex., Ho [sic H. O.] Parks of Albuquerque, N.M., Jack Parks of San Antonio, Tex., and Billy Parks of Rayville; seven sisters, Mrs. Zola Lane of Philadelphia, Miss., Mrs. Bell Chesney of Winnsboro, Mrs. Jane Joyner of Baton Rouge, Mrs. Marie Patrick, Mrs. Mary Ann Green, Mrs. Joyce Davis and Mrs. Melvina Green, all of Dunn; 28 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
