They met while singing in the church choir in some small town in Texas. Leamon was 17 and Fannie was a few weeks shy of 16. Beating all odds their marriage lasted 59 years. Actually, Leamon died 17 days before their 59th anniversary. Fannie died on November 14, 1975 exactly 66 years after their wedding day.
