From Andy Havas email: One bookthat would help you if you can get it is "EMLEKKONYV-KISVARDA ES KORNYEKE", which is a YizkorBook of Kisvarda and sorrounding communities. It was published in 1980 written byRav Dr. Karoly Jolesz n Israel. It does help to read Hungarian, though it does have sections n English and Hebrew as well. In it, there are several Kron members mentioned on a list of Martyrs. From Dombrad, it lists the following:

Kron Tibor-his wife Schwartz Ilona Kron Zoltan Kron Blanka-wife of Kornfeld Armin Kron Andor Dr.

Then on pages 144-147 is an article written by a Dan(Don) Dalmat, thattalks about the Krons. It is written in Hungarian and I have only scanned it. It mentions family members(some those who were klled) but also a SAMU(sam) who cameto US,a Gyuri, Szeren, Rezsin, Oszkar. It is Dan's memory of his childhood in Dombrad.

From Gilad Peled email:

apparently our connection is through Farkas kron,Though my information is a little bit different than yours (assuming there was only one such person then and there...). but first, just so you will understand what I am talking about - a little story : when we were in Dombrad four weeks ago, we went to the local municipality to look for information. at the archives they wouldn't give us any details (because of a privacy law in Hungary you have to prove connection to the person you inquire about. we had no documents there with us). when we asked for the key to the Jewish cemetery they told us the local protestant priest has it. we found the guy and it turns out that he has a "mania" with Judaism : he has collected all the possible information about the local Jews and wrote it all in a thick book. we sat with him for over an hour and he gave us a lot of information. he couldn't tell us, though, exactly where he got his facts from. and then we went to the cemetery. As much as I know, Farkas Kron was the brother of my Grandmothers grandfather - Ignaz Kron (or my fathers grandmothers uncle. more details you will find in the attachments which include the little I have so far done). We found the grave of Farkas Kron (I can send you the picture)who died in 1936. The priest told us he was 87 years old, and if so, he was born in 1849 and not 1936. since we also found the grave of Ignaz Kron who died in 1908 at 58 years, we know their fathers name was Dov. My grandmother says Ignaz and Farkas were brothers, and her brother (Yehuda), who is still alive, remembers an old and strange uncle called Farkas in Dombrad from when he was a child. The priest told us Farkas had Three Children : Betty (b. 1878. my grandmother knew her and says she came to Israel and had no children), Bernard (b. 1882) and Gizela (b.1884).we found no more details about them, but in Budapest we met we the descendants of one Bela Kron who, my grandma says, was the son of Farkas. she didn't mention any Karolina, but I will show her your letter and ask her. where did you get the details from? do you have any documents? (I have none concerning Farkas. all the information was given to me orally, except for the grave).sometimes Jews had the same first names, but I find it hard to believe there was another separate Kron family in Dombrad (there's no record of that in the priests lists). we should try and solve those disagreements between the facts we know, if you have any ideas I'll be happy to hear them.
