Jane Logan McKee, 1730 - 1763, married to John McKee, is being connected with James David Logan, a prominent Pennsylvania immigrant. According to the evidence I found, this is incorrect and Jane's parentage can't be confirmed.

Found on Wikipedia is found :

John Logan was born to David and Jane (McKinley) Logan in the spring of 1747 He was one of eight children in the family. Prior to John's birth, his parents had immigrated from Ulster by way of Pennsylvania and settled near the North River in Virginia John Logan was baptized into the Presbyterian church on May 10, 1747.
David Logan died in 1757, leaving no will, and his entire estate passed to his oldest son Benjamin when he came of age in 1764 Benjamin sold the entire estate and divided the money among himself and his brothers and sisters Benjamin and his brother, Hugh, used their shares to purchase a farm on the James River, and their sister Jane joined them there ] John Logan soon purchased 200 acres (0.81 km2) of land for himself near his family In the early 1770s, he married Jane McClure; they had six daughters and a son Benjamin Logan moved again, this time settling on the Holston River, and John and his wife followed in 1773, establishing their home at Black's Fort (now the city of Abingdon, Virginia Children known of 8:
* Benjamin b. c. 1723 - came of age in 1764

  • John Logan baptized into the Presbyterian church on May 10, 1747 m. Jane McClure

and of this family is mentioned on Owl Moon Farm the following:

I did some more digging and was excited to learn the Logan family was a part of the initial Borden Grant filing. Unfortunately, the land {John} Logan settled in 1752 was a bit north of here, in the Walker’s Creek area. And while it appears his brother, David Logan, was already here as early as 1740, I have not found a map or any details showing that land. I have found evidence that his son, future General Benjamin Logan sold “800 acres on Kerr Creek” at some point. Our farm is not far from Kerrs Creek, but 800 acres…? If it was sold, then who bought it?
There is a large homestead between ours and Kerrs Creek which I believe to be the site of the Kerrs Creek Massacres, during which a Jane “Jennie” {Logan} McKee was killed, but I haven’t been able to connect her to either John or David Logan. Jane was born in 1713. John in 1703, David in 1706, and their third brother William was born in 1710. That would make her a cousin {?} but so far I have not been able to trace her family tree.
