Also known as Feige, Faygla, Bohmer, Boemer. Born in Slutsk to Rabbi Yosef Behmer and second wife, Vita Frankel.

According to a relative, Feiga and Chaim Aryeh Rabinowitz (Spektor)had 4 sons: Meir; Eliezer Isser; Rav Yosef (who lived with and was taught by his grandfather, Rav Yitzchak Elchanan; and Yaakov Rabinowitz. They also had a daughter, Bluma.

According to this biography, R'Chaim, born in Izabelin, Volkovysk, married the daughter of the gaon R' Yosele of Slutzk (R' Joseph Bohmer), and died at the age of 40. Their son, R' Yosele (Joseph) Rabinovitch grew up in Rabbi Yitzchak Elchanan's home.
