FATAL ACCIDENT.

Wellington, August 16. A youth named Felix McCarthy was killed at Shannon today by the capsizing of a dray. The unfortunate lad was thrown on his face on a rata root, and death was almost instantaneous.
He wasthe son of Mr McCarthy, formerly in Patea, but now in the Deeds Department, Wellington, and nephew of Mr Northover, of the Rangitikei Advocate, Mrs Christopher Parker, of Gisborne, Mrs T. W. Ferry, cf Wanganui. Deceased was a fine promising yonng fellow.
