The New York Times of October 26, 1941 reported that the body of Felix V. Ferdinand Schumann was found on the morning of October 25, 1941, behind the wheel of his car in Westchester County, New York. Death was apparent suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning. Mr. Schumann was 62 at the time of his death. His body was found by his son Walter, 25, a pianist. He was survived by his wife Etelka and three other children, Robert, Clara, and (Marie) Mrs. William Personius.
