Flora D. Bennett was born at Nunda, New York, January 1, 1857, and died June 24, 1917, being 60 years, 5 months, 24 days old.

Her mother died when she was one week old. She lived with her grandmother until 12 years of age, then went to Summit, Mississippi to finish her education, afterward coming to Tarkio to her father. She was married to Columbus A. Christian, September 16, 1878. To this union were born nine children, all of whom survive. The children are B. F. Christian of Pine River, Minn.; Mrs. B. E. Wetherell of Carthage, MO.; James H. Christian, Mountain Home, Idaho; George T. Christian, Westboro, MO.; Mrs. C. E. Clark, Mrs. H. L. Ward, Mrs. G. E. Jones, Mrs. M. J. Mayfield, all of St. Joseph, Missouri and Harry Christian of Forest City, MO.

Mrs. Christian was a member of the Episcopal Church, having joined at an early age. She was a patient sufferer always being cheerful through seldom free from pain.

Mrs. Christian is survived by two sisters, Mrs. D. A. Colvin of Rock Port, and Mrs. James Sargood, of Payette, Idaho, and one brother Russell Bennett, of Salt Lake City.
