Florence Kinsey Bente

This is a picture of my Grandmother Florence Auld Bente which looks to be taken when she was around ten years old in 1885 (born February 25, 1875, death October 18, 1918). She was married to my Grandfather Christian August Bente. My father Waldama Bente was her first son in 1902, the second son Thomas was born in 1904. Her first daughter Hazel was born in 1905. Her third son Carl was born in 1908, the fourth son Francis was born in 1908 and the fifth son Kenneth was born in 1913. My Grandmother passed away at 43 years of age, two days after giving birth to her second daughter Florence who only lived for only one day. My father was 16 years of age at that time. He told me the flu of 1918 and the losing the child was too much for his mother to endure.
