Florence Lenz

Florence Lenz, 79, of Dickinson passed away peacefully in the presence of family on October 12, 2013 in Denver, CO. Flo (Grandma Flojo to many) was born in Dickinson, ND on December 18, 1933 to Louis and Ellen (Conlon) Metz. On January 13, 1962 she united in marriage with Richard Lenz and together they raised their four children. Flo was a modest woman of extraordinary faith. She was immensely proud of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She taught her children strong family values tempered with love and kindness. In spite of her small stature, Flo was a force to be reckoned with when needed. She accepted life's challenges, and never complained. She will be greatly missed, but her infectious laugh, sweet disposition, unending loyalty, love of her family, and wicked sense of humor will never be forgotten.

Flo is survived by her two daughters Debbe (Garry) Pistoria and Lené (Ervin) Simnioniw; two sons Richard (Mary) Lenz and Bryan (Jenni) Lenz; seven grandchildren Misty Lenz, Rick (Linnea) Lenz, Taylor Simnioniw, Bradlee Simnioniw, Dakota Lenz, Brylee Lenz and Nevada Lenz; five great grandchildren Ethan, Madelynn, Allysen, Brenna and Caylee Lenz; a sister Kathy (Tom) Mitchell; and a brother John Metz.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and two sisters (Pauline, and Julie Koppi-Renner). In honor of her request, cremation has taken place and a memorial celebration and inurnment of her ashes with her late-husband Richard in the ND Veteran's Cemetery
