Mrs. Florence Bodenhamer Sanford, grandmother of Mrs. Pete Skeen and Mrs. Robert K. Phelps, was born October 19, 1868, in Springfield, MO and died Saturday, March 11, at the home northwest of Mountain View.

Her husband, Barney F. Sanford, preceded her in death December 23, 1933. They were pioneer residents of Kiowa county. They homesteaded on a farm 20 miles south of Hobart in 1902. They lived there until 1919 when they moved to the Mountain View community. She had been a member of the Methodist church for 80 years.

Her daughters, Mrs. Vera Brannon, Carnegie; Mrs. Ethel Brannon, Del City; Mrs. Lilith Rushing, Wichita, Kans.; Miss Coral Sanford of Mountain View; Mrs. Ruth Voss, Gotebo and Mrs. Sybil Hancock, Sedan and her sons, Floyd Sanford of Abilene, Texas, and Len Sanford of Riverside, Calif.

Her sisters, Mrs. Effie Due, Ravenden, Ark., and Mrs. Dora Griffin, Frederick and brother, George Bodenhamer, Hanford, Calif.
