Florence Schneider

Florence was born in Denver, Colorado. Her mother died while she was quite young.--a victim of the 1918 flu epidemic. After graduating from high school, Florence sold furs in a department store in Richmond. She married Milton Schneider, and together they were involved in a number of enterprises, including a cafe, a door-to-door home goods business, and a neighborhood grocery store. She was a bookkeeper for a number of years before she retired. She was an active member of the Jewish communities in the various cities where she lived.
