About Floyd Milton McKaughan

Services for Floyd M. McKaughan, 83, 303 S. Berry Street, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Strode Chapel with Dr. Eldon Moelling officiating. Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under direction of the Strode Funeral Home.

Masonic services at the grave will be conducted by Ingalls Masonic Lodge #128.

He died Saturday, Oct. 25, 1986, at the Stillwater Medical Center.

He was the son of Ona E. and Martha (Fritzsinger) McKaughan. He grew up in the Ingalls area and had lived in Payne County most of his life.

He was married to Alleen Williams on May 15, 1923 in Stillwater. He was an oil field pumper and worked 38 years for the Magnolia Petroleum Co., and at the OSU Physical Plant from 1960 to 1968. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Active in Masons, he was the past Worshipful Master and was currently the chaplain of the Ingalls Masonic Lodge #128. He also served as treasurer for 24 years, and received his 50-year pin in 1983.

He was a past Royal patron of the Amaranth Court #32, past Patron of Perkins Chapter: #119 Order of the Eastern Star, and was past Watchman of the Shepherd of Noel Shrine #17, Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem.

Survivors include his wife, Alleen, of the home; one son, Donald Floyd McKaughan, Lafayette, La.; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Helen Brandt, Oklahoma City; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Othe (Mabel) Madison, Stillwater, and Mrs. Eva Ward, St. Louis, Mo.

He was preceded in death by one son, Wayne; six brothers, and three sisters.

Members of Friendship Sunday School Class and Masonic Lodge will be honorary pallbearers.

Active pallbearers will be Coy Mullins, Jack Daugherty, Elvin Trimble, Harold Wheeler, Howard Bible, and Andy Gipson.
