- The Craddock Family of Amelia, Virginia, expounds most of its research on the William Cross Craddock Family. Perhaps, because this was more easily documented. Efforts have been made to go back beyond William Cross Craddock himself, however, few records have been found. I believe, that this family's (Patrick, VA) association goes back even further…. The undiscovered records.
- Frances Goins / Goings is said to be Isham Craddock's wife. Isham's father was John. Frances has been recognized in the last decade, as a Munlegeon, a person of mixed heritage, possibly Lumbee Indian, though others claim Saponi. I am sure DNA will eventually answer those mysterious questions.
- Francis and Isham's date of marriage is not known, however, it is assumed as around 1773, in Patrick, VA.
- Not much is known about Frances. I have misplaced her father's name. Isham likely died between 40 to 50 years of age. This left Frances with at least 5 children under 12 years old. What became of her, I don't know at this time. Though she was clearly now the head-of-household, she does not appear in the 1790 or 1800 Federal Census. She, too, may have died or remarried.
