Hon. Frances Berkeley was the daughter of William Berkeley, 4th Baron Berkeley of Stratton and Frances Temple.3,4 She married, firstly, William Byron, 4th Baron Byron of Rochdale, son of William Byron, 3rd Baron Byron of Rochdale and Hon. Elizabeth Chaworth, on 3 December 1720 at Kensington, London, EnglandG.1,3 She married, secondly, Sir Thomas Hay of Alderston, 2nd Bt., son of Sir John Hay of Alderston, 1st Bt. and Catherine Suttie, on 31 July 1740.1 She died circa September 1757.3 She was buried on 21 September 1757 at Twickenham, London, EnglandG.3 Her will was proven (by probate) on 2 November 1757.3
From 3 December 1720, her married name became Byron. After her marriage, Hon. Frances Berkeley was styled as Baroness Byron of Rochdale on 3 December 1720. From 31 July 1740, her married name became Hay. Her last will was dated 3 May 1748.
