Northampton County Court DW 1645-51, 82 Frances and spouse Emmanuel Driggers were assigned as servants to Stephen Charlton in 1649 to pay Francis Pott's debt to Charlton. Francis was of the community of Wingina's Ginkaskins and we know that due to location but also due to the ensueing freedom that got worked out for her a free person of color that came as it would to natives who were indentured til age 21.
