About Francis (Frank) Lewis
Francis Lewis married Emma Evan (Everelda) Tuddenham after Banns in the Parish of South Creake, Norfolk on 12 October, 1874. They gave their parents names as William Lewes, Labourer and James Tuddenham, Labourer. They were married by Alfred D. Bagshaw Vicar of the Parish Church, South Creake, and the marriage was witnessed by Henry Holdsworth and Eliza Lewis.
Francis (Frank) and Emma (Everelda) Lewis emigrated in 1874 on the ship Rakaia to the port of Lyttleton, New Zealand. With them on the ships passenger list are two boys George aged 7 and John aged 4, under the name of Lewis. I have listed them as the couples children, but as yet have not proved this. On the voyage out a son Francis Rakaia Lewis was born. Also on board were another family from Norfolk by the name of Lack.
