About Francis John "Frank" Fleming

Per Judith Mullany:

According to the 1920 Census Frank was a boarder in Bristol CT previous occupation was plumber and he was working in the brass shop. Of all the Fleming boys, Frank was the strongest, according to my Father, his youngest brother, Frank carried a radiator up two flights of stairs alone. Dad had fractured his elbow and when his father asked him to help Frank with the radiator, Frank carried it up alone so as not to let the injured arm be known.

Per his death record, he lived at 12 Canal Street in Brattleboro his entire life.

Per his Brattleboro Reformer obituary, he lived with a Mr. Linus Edmunds:

... He had been in ill health for a long period. ... Born in Brattleboro Jan. 21, 1897, he was a son of Patrick and Catherine (Earley) Fleming. He attended St. Michael's Parochial School. Although he spent the greater part of his life in Brattleboro following the trade of plumber, he worked for two periods as a machinist for the New Departure Co., Bristol, Conn. He enlisted in the Navy in World War I, serving as a machinist's mate first class, at the Navy's experimental station in New London, Conn. ...
