About Frank Robert Dutra
From "Footsteps of my Forefathers - A Family History by Michelle Dutra, Roseville High School, Grade 10, 1993" :
"While Frank did engage in sports and athletics to some extent in his youth, he lacked the enthusiasm of his brothers, Anthony and Marcel. He was more of the studious type. His main object in life seemed to be to know the reason "Why". He pursued a study of medicine, surgery and pathology and was graduated degrees of M.S. and M.D. After serving as an intern at Cleveland City Hospital, he did postgraduated work at Western Reverve University and Harvard School of Medicine. He was a Captain in the Medical Corp of the United States Army in World War Ii and was stationed in Calcutta, India. In India he met and married Doctor Joyce Mitchell. After his discharge from the Army as a Major, he became as Associate Professor of Pathology at the University of Cincinnati during the years of 1947 to 1952. He then moved to Sacramento and entered private practice, devoting his time to pathology. Frank and his associates were pathologists at Sutter Hospital in Sacramento until 1954 when he accepted the position of Head Pathologist at Eden Hospital, Castro Valley, California. He authored several articles that were published in Medical Journals."
