- "Frank Renze 89, retired farmer, died at 3:45 pm Thursday at the home of his son in law & daughter Mr & Mrs CW Bedford 214 N Carroll street. He had been in failing health for 2 years & seriously ill the last two days. Funeral services will be at 9 am Monday at St Josephs Church of which Mr Renze was a member. Burial will be in Mt Olivet Cem.
- "Mr Renze was born June 12, 1865 in Ankum, Germany. In 1877 at the age of 12 years, he came to the US with his parents, Theodore & Margaret Renze, who settled on a farm 1 mile east & 2 miles south of Roselle. He married to Anna Puttman Feb 27, 1889 at Holy Angels church, Roselle. The Rev Fr Frey performed the ceremony.
- "Mr & Mrs Renze established their home on a farm in Eden Township. Later they moved to a farm one mile east & 1/2 mile south of Roselle, where they lived until their retirement in 1942, when they came to Carroll to make their home with Mr & Mrs Bedford.
- "Mr Renze is survived by his wife, Anna; 2 daughters Mrs Katherine Werner & Mrs Bedford (Margaret), & 2 sons John H & Edward Renze all of Carroll. 12 grandchildren; 20 gr grandchildren, & 2 brothers, George of Halbur, who is a patient of St Anthony Hospital, & Fred Renze of Carroll.
