Mortgage Bk (Eufaula Div.) 29:642. J. F. Scarborough [probably James Frank, son of J. H. T.], mortgage to H. E. Walker. Dated 28 Feb 1903. This might represent a mortgage to secure a loan to make a crop. Original not examined. The mortgage book number looks incorrect but this is what I had in my notes.
Mortgage Rec. (Eufaula Div.) 102:329. S. W. Scarborough sold about 60 ac in S24 T8 R25 for $942 to J. F. and M. A. Q. Scarborough on 25 Jan 1921 with a mortgage. The note was satisfied in full 15 Feb 1926, signed S. W. Scarborough.
James F. Scarborough died 13 Dec 1944 without a will (Barbour Co. Orphan Records 47:99-102; Minutes of Orphan Court F:310-311). He was living in Skipperville, AL, at the time. The final settlement of his estate is found in Barbour Co. Orphan Rec. 48:16 ff.

F. Scarborough. However, James Franklin Scarborough also registered for the draft and listed his permanenet home address as Route #2, Skipperville, Dale Co., AL, just a few miles away.
28 July 1920: J. F. Scarborough signed a petition to consolidate schools at Blue Springs, Barbour Co., AL.
