Frank H Taber

Frank and four of his five other brothers all died of fever ((diphtheria ?) over the course of 18 days in November 1879: Eleaet E. age 5 died 3 November 1879, four days later Freddie died at age 7; Seven days later the oldest brother, Frank H. (age 12) died; followed 7 days later on 21 November, by brothers Charles Briggs Gardner Taber (age 11) and George E. (age 9). The only children to survive were Jeremiah Briggs Gardner Taber (age 8) and 2 yr old Their mother, Mahalia, was at the time three months pregnant with Frank who would died of fever at age 9 in 1889. Interestingly Herbert died of the flu while attending John Hopkins Medical School at age 28. So of the first eight children of Mahalia and Henry Taber, only Jeremiah Briggs Gardner Taber survived to old age. They continued to have five more children
