Brigham City -- Franklin Greenhalgh, 96, of 1167 E. 3rd N., died Monday of natural causes at the home of a daughter. Mr. Greenhalgh was born July 13, 1870, in Bloomington, Idaho, a son of Peter and Sarah Heald Greenhalgh. On November 4, 1893, he was married to Frances Amelia Thomas in the Logan LDS Temple. She died March 8, 1912. He was married to Emily White on June 12, 1914, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died November 11, 1947.
He was a farmer in Bear Lake County, Idaho, and came to Brigham City in 1915. He worked as a custodian at Box Elder High School and after his retirement worked at Bushnell Hospital. He was a high priest in the Brigham City Seventeenth LDS Ward and former ward teacher and former member of the B.T. Glee Club.
Surviving are two sons and two daughters, Harrison Greenhalgh, Ogden; Mrs. Moroni (Priscilla) Bott, Brigham City; Mrs. Alf (Alfreda) Larsen, Salt Lake City; Rolla Bryant Greenhalgh, Grand Junction, Colordao; 18 grandchildren, 75 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Eighth-Seventeenth Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Blaine Olser Funeral Chapel Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday prior services. Burial in the Brigham City Cemetery.
