Dates from Elaine Quick (2012). Quick notes some debate on the account provided y Sr. Riceria Thekla Doerfer and provided to Linda Merkel Hahn in 1982. Specifically, Hahn’s research indicated that Franz Dorfer’s wife was named Franziska Weisbrod (b 1804). It is unknown if perhaps there were two wives and one died young, or if perhaps they were the same. Hahn posited that it could be that the family had “changed” the name of the wife to a non-Jewish name during the Nazi era in Germany.
