Fred Palahniuk, Newman Lake
Memorial service for Fred Leander Palahniuk, 59, was held Tuesday at Einan's Funeral Home in Richland. Burial was at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Richland.
A 20-year Newman Lake resident, Mr. Palahniuk died May 29 in Latah County, Idaho. He was born in Fairfield, North Dakota.
He worked as a brakeman for the railroad for several years in the Tri-Cities and Spokane.
Survivors include:

- Heidi Weeden;
- two sons,
- Charles and
- Matthew Palahniuk
- six sisters,
- Mary Dohaniuk
- Ann DeLong
- Sophie Mattice
- Regina Peavey
- Eva Nickerson, and

- Mike
- Ben, and
- Lester Palahniuk
- and five grandchildren.
