Frederick Hayward

Left Cheltenham on HMS DORIC in 1893 with wife and son. Disembarked in Gisborne where wife's family resided. (Hansen). Wrote a comprehensive Diary of the voyage- original held by John Hayward of Nelson. Had a daughter -Coral in NZ. Frederick and Will returned to Cheltenham where he died in 1937. Son Will returned to NZ and Jenny remarried Mr Letford who took his family including Will to Fiji. Letford returned to NZ -Whangarei and Will stayed in Fiji.
