The SS Duca D'Aosta, was an Italian ocean liner that was launched in 1908 and sailed between Italy and New York and South American during world war I she was employed as a troopship carrying US troops to France as part of the US Navy Cruiser and Transport Force in 1918. She made 5 tips before the Armistice.
Fred had an 8th grade education and was listed as Locomotive fireman and engineer during his career with the AT&SF railroad. He made the Chicago to Kansas City run.
