About Fredrick (Waldarz) Walters
Fredrick (Waldarz) Walters came to the US in 1894. He settled in Kussoth Co. Iowa. He married Julia Ann Deim in Halbturn Austria, They arrived sometime before Oct. 1894 as their oldest child was born than. Fred changed his name many time before settling on the name Walters or Walders, depending on which of his childern you talk to. For some reason some of the brothers went by Walters and some by Walders. Some of the birth and baptismal records have the different spellings. Julia Ann died in 1902. Fred was left with 4 small children, he wrote to his sister, Theresia, in Austria and she suggested Maria Eigner. Maria arrived around the end of 1902, she had a son Robert (4yrs) who came with her. They had 7 sons born to them. Fred died in 1921 of cancer of the gallblader and liver.
Fred worked on a farm for Moody Simpson in Kussoth Co. Iowa.
