- "Fredrik Wachtmeister, 62 - Former Swedish Diplomat
- "Fredrik Wachtmeister, 62, who served in the Swedish diplomatic service here during World War II, died of a heart ailment Tuesday at his home, Whitehall Farm in Warrenton, Va.
- "Mr. Wachtmeister was with the Swedish Embassy here from 1941 to 1946. From 1940 to 1941 he had served in Lisbon; Portugal, and from 1932 until 1940 was with the Swedish Embassy in Brussels, Belgium.
- "Mr. Wachtmeister operated his farm from 1946 to 1960. In 1960 he was director of the Equitable Life Insurance Co. of Iowa.
- "He was born in Paris and graduated from Cambridge University in England 1931.
- "He leaves his wife, Jan D,; two daughters, Marianne Adair, of London and Linda Elizabeth, and two sons, Hans F., of Virginia Beach,Va. and Edward Carl.
