var Kaptein og kompanisjef for øvre Hallingdals kompani fra 1803 og sjef for Landske kompani . Juel overtok Sundre i Ål i Hallingdal i 1791, han solgte garden igjen i 1797 til løytnant Arøe for 1300 rd. men kjøpte den tllbake noen dager senere for 2300 rd. I 1804 solgte Juel gården til Peder Halvorsen ( fra Nes i H.) på Sundre i Ål.H. og flyttet selv til Land i Oppland. Peder Halvorsen solgte igjen til lensmann Carl Adolph (Petersen) Richter i 1810 for 3000 rd.
