Storla Young couple Puts

One Over Old Folks;

Elopes

Some young loving couple behind that swift steed, Cupid, going at a Dan Patch speed, with an irate father a few laps behind, is something that you read about in the daily press almost every day, but such events are ten times more interesting when they happen right near home. The young couple that have put Storla society in commotion is Richard Rasmussen and Miss Irene Tastad. They have been sweethearts for a year, and it was the general opinion that they were to be married in the near future, but we understand now that the girl’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gabe Tastad opposed the match; not because they had anything against the fellow but on account of their daughter’s age, she being not quite 18. While Mr. and Mrs. Tastad were in Mitchell one day last week, these young folks gave them the slip on the q. t. order and it is supposed they have got married somewhere and are now enjoying their honeymoon in some secluded spot, while an irate parent is searching for them in places “where they aint.” One thing that Mr. and Mrs. Tastad can console themselves with and that is, that their daughter eloped with a steady well-to-do young man instead of a scamp, as is usually the case.
