Services were held for Mrs. H. Van Leeuwen, 89, of Orange City who died February 26, 1970, due to illness. She was in the Municipal Hospital at Orange City.
Funeral services were held on March 2, at the First Christian Reformed church of Orange City, Ia. Rev. R.H. Tjapkes officiated. Bernard Wobbema was the soloist and Mrs. Henry Visser the organist.
Pallbearers were Gerrit Bruxvoort, Herman Dykstra, Peter Stellingwerf, Bert Stellingwerf, Harold Kraai and Nelson De Jong. Van Etten Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Burial was in Westlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Van Leeuwen was preceded in death by her husband and two sons, Herman and Morris.
She is survived by her sons, Jake of Artesia, Calif.; Henry Jr. of Bellflower, Calif.; Gerrit of Lakewood, Calif.; Roy of Yuba City, Calif.; Herman of Primghar, Ia.;Woodrow of Bellflower, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Henry (Ann) Van Rennes of Ogilvie, Minn.; Cornie of Orange City; a daughter, Mrs. Arie (Hermina) Groen of Minneapolis; 24 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and one sister who is in the Netherlands.
