Georg Adam Kumpel

When George Kumpel was born on November 5, 1796, in Saxony, Germany, his father, Johann, was 36 and his mother, Katherine, was 22. He had five children with Annie between 1820 and 1840.

He changed the spelling of his name to Kuempel.  His Son Richard changed his to Kimbel.  He died on November 29, 1863, in Bellevue, Iowa, at the age of 67, and was buried there.
