Georg Johansen Langmyhr

Georg was born in Horten, Norway. For a while he had the surname Olsen, but his family changed their last name to Langmyhr - taken from his fathers birth place and family farm "Langemyr". In the 1900 census he's listed as a lumberman and living in Storgaten in Horten. 10 years later in 1910 he travels with the ship "Aaro" to Canada - listed as an Engineer. A few years later he marries Alexandria from Longueuil and fathers a daughter. Around this time he works as a Mechanical Engineer at National Shipbuilding Corporations in Trois-Rivières in Quebec. In 1925 he gets divorced from Alexandria, and in 1928 marries Ingeborg Sveen whom he had three children with.
