Arr. 1790 as senior surgeon on the ship De Gouverneur Generaal M., remained at the Cape on account of illness, appointed senior surgeon on the Meermin, asked 1793 for burgher rights, resident at Cape Town, engaged by the Church Council as physician for the poor. + 17.1.1806. ~ 8.4.1791 Catharina Wilhelmina Sinkantyn of Amsterdam. 6 children. His widow, at her request, was exempted from paying the “kerkgeregtigheit” for the funeral of her late husband, because she was without means (onvermogend).
