George A. Visti Feb. 17, 1924 - Sept. 28, 2003 (age 79)
Funeral services for George A. Visti, 79, of Willoughby Hills, will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the Potti Funeral Home, 1009 Mentor Ave., in Painesville.
Mr. Visti died Sept. 28, 2003, at Barnesville Hospital.
He was born Feb. 17, 1924, in Fairport Harbor, where he spent most of his life until moving to Willoughby Hills.
He attended Willoughby Hills Evangelical Friends Church, was a member of V.F.W. Post 7754, in Fairport Harbor, and was a 1941 graduate of Fairport Harding High School. He served with the U.S. Army 26th, Infantry Division in Europe, during World War II.
Mr. Visti worked at the Diamond Shamrock Corporation and also at the Lake County Court House in Painesville.
Survivors are his wife of 51 years, Marilyn (Heleen) Visti; son, Michael (Cynthia) Visti of Willoughby Hills; daughters, Barbara Visti of Atlanta, Ga., and Karen (Danny) Litt of Northridge, Calif.; and grandchildren, Rachel, Nathan, and Hannah Visti, and Michael, Denise, Matthew, and Nicole Litt.
His parents, Matt and Maria Visti; brothers, Ero "Ben" Visti, and William Rintala; and sisters, Saima Lassila, Laura Niemi, Alma Pohto, and Ina Visti, are deceased.
Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Jim Belt of Willoughby Hills Evangelical Friends Church will officiate the services. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Painesville, Ohio.
