I have some bits of info that may help you get a little closer to what you are looking for.

Missouri Marriages before 1840:

Belcher, John N to Mary Emervine Aug 1836

Belcher, Wm. to Frances Amerine 18 Nov 1839

There are seven more Belcher marriages starting with 1821. Let me know if you want these.

There is also some Amerine family info available at the University of Missouri. I haven't sent for it yet. The only details I have is that some of the info pertains to David Emerine, b.1823 KY d.1873 Carroll Co., MO.

I also found this marriage:

Rebecca Amerine m. Solomon Duncan 24 Feb 1845 Madison Co., KY. In 1850 they are living in Fulton Co., IL. Some of this Duncan family are mentioned to be living in Carroll Co., MO.

Based on what I have discovered so far about the Amerine family, these early 1800's Amerines in TN, KY, MO have to descend from George Amerine b.abt 1759 in PA.This info is taken from the "Amerine - Amrine Genealogy, 1754-1980" by Wesley and Velma Amerine Winn. George Amerine had three known sons: Henry b.1783, George b 1784, Isham b.1801. By 1793 he had moved his family from Bedford Co., PA to Knox Co., TN. In 1830 they are living in McMinn Co., TN. Henry married in 1820, by 1832 sold all of his land and moved to Alabama. George Jr. married in 1823, by 1845 they are in Blount Co., TN. Isham married abt 1829, are found in 1860 living in Livingston Co., KY.

My guess would be that George Sr. had at least one more son, born before 1783. This son moved into KY and MO about the same time Henry moved to Alabama (1832)or probably early because he isn't found with the others in McMinn Co., TN in 1830.

I haven't worked much on George's line. His brother, Frederick Amerine, was my gggg grandfather. He settled in Perry Co., OH. I would love to hear what you think.

I believe that Jonathan "Amarine", "Emerine" was the other son of George & Christina. The following is what I have so far:

Military: Jonathan's War of 1812 service records can be found at the National Archives. They show that Jonathan "Amarine" was a private in Capt. William Kerley's Company of Rifleman, 1 Rifle Regiment, Kentucky Volunteer MIlitia, and that he served from 15 Aug 1812 through 7 March 1813. He served in place of Benjamin Milner. He also served in the 2nd Regiment (Jennings') Kentucky Volunteers, under Jonathan "Emorine"

Jonathan Emerine served with his brother George in the War of 1812. They were privates in the 2nd Regiment of Jennings' Kentuckey Volunteers. The two owned land in Madison County, KY, and bought it together in 1817 from Joseph and Nancy Crews. Also in February 1822, Jonathan gave his oath as to the age of his brother Abraham, for Abraham's marriage to Sally Malpin in Madison Cty, KY.

1830 Federal Census Madison Cty, KY. M19, Roll 39, pg 163. I have copy of page.

I almost forgot that William Belcher had a son named John Nuton Belcher b. 1860. This son is from his second wife Zerelda Harris. You information looks promiseing. Thanks

Pat

Pat: The third daughter of Temperance and Jonathan Amerine was named Ryan. Jonathan's second wife, Sarah Neely, was my GGGrandmother, who died in 1866 in Boone County. I don't know who Jonathan's parents were, but would like to.

Laura

I live in Jefferson City Mo. and go to Columbia, Mo. about

once a week. It may take sometime before I can go over to MU , but I will get the information for you. In the family bible it list a Temprance Amerine d. 1851 and a Robert Sturgis Amerine d.1849 dates, so this could be Francis sister and brother. I would love to have the information on the Belcher marriges from 1821. I am not sure on Francis birth place . William Belcher was b. in Madison Co. Ky. They were m. 18 Nov 1839, I belive in Boone Co. Mo., but not sure. If I cam be of help please let me know.
