At least one published pedigree identifies George Anderson, here treated, as a knight, and as the son of William Anderson and Jonet Pomfray. Wikitree: Sir George Anderson This is wrong, however. George Anderson was not a knight. He was a shoemaker in Glasgow. He may or may not be the son of William Anderson, but proof is wanting.
