About George Edward Heatley Cousens
During a family visit to England, George went to live with his mother's sister, Helen, and her husband and they paid for his education.
In 1938 George suffered from mastoiditis (usually caused by untreated acute middle ear infection and which used to be a leading cause of child mortality.) Helen then decided to send him back to his family in Canada. (Source: Marion (Babs) - George's sister)
George joined the Canadian Mounties, married and had four children.
