George Hall

George and Hannah Hall and 5 children came to Natal in Sep 1850 on the "Nile", They settled in PMB where George worked as a farrier and veterinary surgeon or 'veterinary and shoeing smith'. By May 1860 he had had a short period as a hotel keeper @ Ketelfontein @ the top of PMB's Town Hill, and was moving to the Riet Spruit Accomodation House, near present-dat Cedara (between PMB and Howick). He was back in PMB working as a 'veterinary surgeon' by Jan 1862. Thereafter he appears to have remained in PMB.
