Georg Karl Arsène Schwarz emigrated to the U.S. in 1915 but returned to Vienna to marry Cornelie Rosauer in 1933. The couple settled in Brooklyn as George and Nelly Schwartz (per 1940 U.S. census). It was thanks to Georg/George's sponsorship that his wife's sister Margarethe Fischer and her family were able to find refuge in the U.S. after the German annexation of Austria.
