George Stacy

George Stacy appears in several records in VA between 1759 and 1767. He was known to be married to a Jemima Stacy shortly before September 1759 in Frederick Co., VA, and later appears in credit lists for the Shenandoah Store and the Dumfries Store in Prince William Co., VA (1762-1764). He appears in several court records in Fauquier County, VA from 1760 to his death in 1767. After his death his widow, Jemima married their close neighbor, Charles Littlejohn, who lived just two homes away per the 1759 Fauquier County tithable lists.

--On Sep. 6, 1759 Sarah Ashby dropped her suit against "George Stacy & Jemima his wife" having recently been wed herself. (Frederick Co., VA Orders).

--George Stacy and brother John were recorded as having patronized the Shenandoah Store in Winchester, Frederick County, Virginia between May & July 1762.
