On September 21, 1882 he married Rosanna Wireman the daughter of Morgan Wireman and Sarah Allen. Their children are; Sarah (Wireman) Patton, Cora (Wireman) Montgomery Baldridge, Ramey Wireman, Dora Wireman, Susan Wireman, Elliott Wireman, Russell Day Wireman, Fannie (Wireman) Miller, George Ann (Wireman) Miller and Jacob A. Wireman.
