About Gerret DuBois
Gerret with his brothers Jacob and Barent, went to Salem County, New Jersey, and with his wife Margaret, was among those who, in 1747, organized the Presbyterian Church of Pittsgrove. Shortly thereafter they returned to Marbletown.

Gerrit DuBois, the son of Jacob DuBois and Gerritje Gerritson-Van Nievwkirk, was baptized 13 December 1704 at Reformed Dutch Church; now Old Dutch Church in Kingston, New York.
He was the grandson of Louis "the Walloon" DuBois, who led a group of Patentee's in 1678, receiving a grant from the governor of New York to establish a French village called New Paltz.
Gerrit married Margarete Elmendorf 18 July 1731 at Reformed Dutch Church, Kingston, New York.
