Gerret Jan Snedaker

Born 1699 Long ISland NY Died 1785 Oster Bay, Long ISland NY. Married Chrisstreena Lequear 1726, NY. BOrn 1706 Long Island, Died 1788 Oyster Bay Long Island NY. Gerret ws the First Clerk of the Reformed Dutch CHurch at WOlver Hollow Long Island NY. Gerret owned a general store in the village of Hempstead, Long ISland. An account book listing all the items stocked and on sale has been preserved and can be seen in the "Book of Snedeker" on page 76 [available online "Jan Snedeker" written by a Snedeker] His will was dated May 11, 1784 and proven August 15, 1785. He was a resident of Oyster Bay. THey had 12 children and child #10 was Christian Snedeker.
