About Gervasio Bautista Santiago
Gervasio Bautista Santiago was the eldest son of Pablo Santiago of Quiapo, Manila and Ynes Bautista of Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan. He married Belen Medina Manalo. He was one of the editors of Liwayway Magazine in the '30 to the 70's. Some of his novels have been well known and some are filmed. Some of his works are Siyam na Langit (1962), Madaling Araw (1958), Sementong Hagdan, Mahigit sa Manika and many more. Died August 14, 1993 after the death of his wife.
