Death due to heart disease. Buried in Rosedale Cemetery, Orange. Survived by three daughters two sons, nine grandchildren, and a brother, Russell Colgate, '96. His other brothers were Richard M. Colgate, *77, Sidney M. Colgate, '85, Austen Colgate, '86, and Rev. Samuel Colgate, '91.
