Gladys E Herath

Gladys E. Herath, 92, of Brook, died at 5:20 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6, 2002, in George Ade Memorial Healthcare Center.

Born Sept. 19, 1910, in Foresman, she attended Brook High School.

She married Clifford E. Herath on March 10, 1929, in Brook. He died Jan. 31, 1994.

Mrs. Herath was a homemaker and a member of Brook United Methodist Church. She was a former member of Brook Music Club, Home Economics Club and Bridge Club.

Surviving are a son, Roy L. Herath (wife: Barbara K.) of Edinburgh,; and two sisters, Elaine Stath of Haskell, Okla., and Ruth Kanne of Rensselaer. A grandchild and a great-grandchild survive. Preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Esther Boner Light.

No Visitation. Memorial service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Gerts Funeral Home, Brook, Richard E. Gerts officiating. Interment Riverside Cemetery, Brook.
