Gladys Riecke

Riecke Gladys M, 88, died at the Sacred Heart Home, Avilla. She was born September 24, 1903 in Momence, Ill. to Edmond and Matilda (Delcoustal) LeBeau. On April 19, 1927 she married Arnold Riecke. He died March 2, 1951. She had lived in Fowler, Wolcott, Remington, and on farms near Churubusco and Columbia City. She had been employed by Miller's Merry Manor for 13 years before retirement. She was a member of St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Edward (Janis) Smith of Avilla; 5 sons, John, Edwin and Herman of Fort Wayne, Jerome of Huntington and George of Noblesville; 29 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren. Four brothers, a sister and 3 grandchildren preceded her in death. Funeral mass Wednesday in St. Paul Church, Columbia City. Burial, Catholic Cemetery, Columbia City. + 8-?-1992
